BIOGRAPHY
The Shivas are a rock & roll band from Portland, Oregon that began in 2006. Since forming the band as high-school best friends, they have brought their raucous dance party to almost all 50 United States, and over 25 countries around the world. Meanwhile they released 7 original, full-length albums, as well as many EPs and singles on an array of labels including Tender Loving Empire, Suicide Squeeze, and K Records.
Their latest studio LP, ‘Feels So Good // Feels So Bad’ was released in September of 2021 on Tender Loving Empire. Late ‘21 and most of ‘22 was spent on the road as the group toured extensively through the U.S., Mexico, and Europe.
‘Covers Vol. 2’ was released in August 2023 as a follow-up to the first set of 5 cover songs the band released during pandemic lockdowns in 2020-21. The second installment of covers was announced with a fall ‘23 tour along the west coast.
In the midst of this, The Shivas have announced ‘Alive In The World’, a full-length, live album from the 2022 European tour of the same name. The live record was recorded every night during the course of a nearly 2 month run - and favorite performances were then selected, creating an album tracklist from an archive of more than 50 hours of live material. ‘Alive In The World’ will feature 13 tracks from 10 different cities, and will be released October 20, 2023 on Tender Loving Empire Records.
